Updated April 2026. If QuickBooks is your source of truth, your field service platform needs to play nicely with it — not force you into constant CSV exports. We tested 34 FSM platforms against QBO and QBD to find the seven with the deepest, most reliable accounting sync.
Quick verdict
| Best for | Pick | Why |

How we scored QuickBooks integration
Not every ‘QuickBooks integration’ is equal. We scored each platform on six criteria: (1) QBO vs QBD coverage; (2) direction (one-way push vs 2-way sync); (3) objects synced (invoices, payments, customers, items, tax, vendors); (4) real-time vs batch; (5) error surfacing and retry; (6) cost of the connection itself.
Many ‘QuickBooks integrations’ are really only customer push plus invoice push. True 2-way sync with automatic payment reconciliation is rarer than the marketing pages imply.
1. Housecall Pro — best QuickBooks Online pick
Housecall Pro ($79–$189/mo) has the cleanest QBO automation in the residential home-services tier. Invoices, payments, customers, and items all 2-way sync automatically. HCP pays Intuit directly for the certified connection — you don’t pay extra. Caveat: QBD is not supported.
2. FieldEdge — best QuickBooks Desktop pick
FieldEdge is the only category leader that treats QuickBooks Desktop as a first-class target. The QBD connector handles items, inventory, invoices, payments, customers, and tax with bi-directional sync. Quote-only pricing but worth it if QBD is mandatory.
3. Method:CRM — best for QBD or QBO power users
Method:CRM ($25–$85/user/mo) is built on top of the QuickBooks data model. It’s less of a ‘field service platform with QB integration’ and more of a ‘QB-powered CRM with field workflow bolted on.’ Real-time sync is the selling point.
4. Jobber — QBO for SMB on a budget
Jobber ($39–$349/mo) offers solid QBO 2-way sync on all paid plans. Customers, invoices, payments, items, and tax all sync. Jobber does not support QBD.
5. Kickserv — cheapest QBO / QBD combo
Kickserv is unusual in supporting both QBO and QBD at a free-or-$59/mo price point. The connector is simpler than HCP or FieldEdge but covers the essentials.
6. Service Autopilot — franchises and lawn care
Service Autopilot markets its QBO integration as ‘the only automatic 2-way sync’ for franchise lawn-care and cleaning. That’s marketing language, but the reality is their connector is mature and handles high-volume recurring billing well.
7. BuildOps — QBO and Intacct for commercial
BuildOps supports both QBO and Sage Intacct, making it the strongest pick for commercial MEP shops that have outgrown QBO but still want accounting automation.
What to watch out for
‘Integrates with QuickBooks’ != 2-way sync. Always ask whether customers, items, invoices, payments, tax, and credit memos all sync in both directions automatically.
Connector fees. Some platforms charge $25–$50/mo extra for the QB connector itself. HCP, Jobber, and Kickserv include it in the plan; some enterprise platforms charge separately.
QBD is dying slowly. Intuit’s QBD roadmap is narrowing. If you’re rebuilding your tech stack for 2027+, assume QBO and migrate accordingly.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best field service software for QuickBooks?
Housecall Pro for QuickBooks Online, FieldEdge for QuickBooks Desktop, Method:CRM if you need real-time bi-directional sync with either.
Does Jobber integrate with QuickBooks Desktop?
No. Jobber only supports QuickBooks Online. For QBD, use FieldEdge, Kickserv, or Method:CRM.
Which FSM platform has the deepest QuickBooks Desktop integration?
FieldEdge has the deepest native QBD integration. Kickserv and Method:CRM also support QBD but with lighter object coverage.
Is ServiceTitan's QuickBooks integration good?
ServiceTitan supports Intacct and QBO, but QBD support is limited. If you're on QBD and considering ServiceTitan, plan to migrate to QBO as part of the implementation.
Does Housecall Pro support QuickBooks Desktop?
No, only QuickBooks Online. Housecall Pro's QBO sync is one of the best in the category but there is no QBD connector.
What does 2-way QuickBooks sync actually mean?
Bidirectional sync where changes made in either system propagate automatically — create a customer in the FSM and it appears in QB; create an invoice in QB and it appears in the FSM. One-way sync only propagates in one direction, usually FSM to QB.
